Welcome to Absurd Girl.
I’m a writer and poet rediscovering my voice after years of lending it to others.
This project is my playground. A place to stretch the shape of my voice, my creative brain, and find the weird, the true, the deeper meaning.
Occasionally, I submit work to literary journals; none of the pieces here are journal submissions, though. This project is the strange house for the pieces that dance in my head and want to play with algorithms instead of editors.
Why Absurd?
I am often inspired by the Romantic writers and their legacy.
Where the Romantics chased the sublime, I chase the absurd. The moments in life filled with emotions–that make you wonder at the joy of being alive to feel it all. When you laugh at a funeral, and cry at a birthday party. The moments in life that transcend and become other. Absurd, isn’t it?
I hope you’ll stay with me and explore.
