My Lady the Sea

My Lady the Sea

Respect for the sea lads
For she gives and she takes
I’ve seen her glass flats
Ridden her roiling waves

I’ve tasted her beauty

Savored her kiss
Held in my memory
Her whispering mist

Ohh
My lady is quick
My lady is wise
My lady has made me
all that I am

I’ve tasted her hunger,
Held fast her nights
I’ll carry my lady,
singing her heights

My lady,
My lady the sea

She dances and channels,
The depths of me

My lady,
My lady the sea

I’ve heard her gales,
Her warning shots blow
I’ve felt her hand, guiding the ghosts
Her cries could never haunt me
For my heart is
buried in the sea

Ooooh
My lady is quick
My lady is wise
My lady has made me all that I am
I’ve tasted her hunger,
Held fast her nights
I’ll carry my lady,
Singing her heights

My lady,
My lady the sea

She cradles and currents,
The corners of me

My lady,
My lady the sea

I watched for old merchants
Calling to me
Sending me back lads,
Setting me free
As the crests of my lady,
Finally caught me

Oooh
My lady,
My lady the sea

She welcomes me home lads
She’s searching for me

I felt her anchor
Reaching for me
As I join those good merchants,
Singing to the sea.

Oooooh
my wild lady
my lady
Singing,
singing with the seaaaaa.
